Our protocol entitled: European List of Essential Medicines for Medical Education: a protocol for a modified Delphi study has been published in the BMJ Open!
This is the first step to get consensus on a list of medicines that European junior doctors should be able to independently prescribe safely and effectively without direct supervision. This list will form the basis of our European Prescribing Exam, and will harmonize education in clinical pharmacology and therapeutics in Europe.
